About Me
Hello, my name is Emma and I am a tutor for primary age children for all subjects across the curriculum. I offer both 1:1 tutoring and group sessions from my home in Banbury. I have over 8 years experience teaching in primary schools across Oxfordshire and continue to teach part-time in a local school.
I trained at Oxford Brookes University and have worked in KS1 and KS2- including teaching Year 6. Throughout my time teaching, I have planned to meet the needs of all learners and children have made good progress whilst in my care. I have extensive experience of working with children with a range of SEND and additional needs, ensuring that their needs are met to access the curriculum. I also have experience of working with more able children and ensuring they are challenged to fulfil their potential.
Transferring these skills to tutoring sessions, children benefit from ongoing assessment and tailored teaching to build their confidence, address gaps in learning and progress them to the next stage. Sessions are engaging, fun and hands-on to ensure that children enjoy their time with me whilst learning.
I am insured, hold an Enhanced DBS Cerficate and have First Aid and Safeguarding training.
